The Old School Lunch

I hate mowing the lawn.

I hate yardwork in general but having crappy to no equipment to do the job just makes it that much worse. We don’t have and have never had an edger (or actually, a reliable weed wacker for that matter) so I went and bought this (I took the “3 easy payments!” option which on their website, they really discourage you from doing a la the “if you pay all at once now, you get expedited shipping PLUS you’ll get it in days instead of up to 3 weeks! Are you sure. Are you really sure?”). Say what you will about the cheesy infomercial but hey, Home Depot didn’t have anything close to this for the price (actually, they had a really awful selection). Basically I needed a weed-wacker and an edger (preferably two-in-one) that was in all ways cordless. If you’ve ever messed with an electric, corded weed-wacker you know why i’m saying this. And even better, the damn thing isn’t even gas-powered! I’m a little worried about how durable this thing is and how long that one battery is going to last but to keep up with the lawn fanatics on my block and not get the stink eye because we’re the only ones who don’t have perfectly trimmed sides it’s a price that’ll just have to be paid.

But I still hate the lawn, lawn-mowing, yardwork and the idea of keeping a completely unnatural lawn/yard. Though, yes, I will admit that it’s nice for a few upcoming months when you’re doing the BBQ deal…

Now I just need a lawn-mower that doesn’t cough up more emissions than an SUV and take 10 minutes to start up.
