Freedom Writers: During one montage late in the film (mild, mild spoiler) as the students are becoming more involved and serious about their academics…the classroom is split into two sides, men and women, and the “debate” if you can call it that, is “Misogyny and mayhem in Hip-Hop” at which point the boys’ side is yelling like hooligans to prove their point and then the girls start yelling like hooligans for the rebuttal. I mean finger pointing arms swingin’ yelling.
I didn’t think i’d see anything worse than when Tyra Banks had teen boy and girls separated into sides and have them argue teen sex issues (because men and woman all have the same opinions about everything) but this just takes that and goes a whole nother level by having them not just talk or actually debate, but just scream and yell all at the same time.
And all of this isn’t even mentioning the whole Holocaust plotline…
