I've never yet heard one that didn't finish with the commenter saying something incredibly racist/sexist/homophobic. And you're absolutely right - homophobic people are REALLY preoccupied with gay sex. When someone says this to me I always say something along the lines of "So you're only going to associate with people you're sexually attracted to, on the off chance that someone you're not attracted to hits on you?". If you're feeling really bold you can follow that up with, "Hmm, good idea. Well, I guess this is goodbye." and walk away. Ah, the old “I’m not racist/sexist/homophobic, BUT….” comments.
